COMMON QUESTIONS

The numbers look stale. The app keeps the last good forecast on your phone and shows its age under the heading. Reopen with a connection and it refreshes.

The map says DEMO. The live bundle hasn’t arrived yet — the map renders its authored reference day until a complete real forecast hydrates. Numbers labeled DEMO are not the ocean.

Something else is broken. Include your app version and update stamp from Settings → About when you write in.

REPORTS

Reports are sessions and field notes other surfers chose to share, under the username they picked. They are their read of the day, not ours.

A report is abusive or wrong. Tap ⋯ on it in the spot’s REPORTS tab: FLAG hides it for you at once and sends it to us (three flags hide it for everyone); BLOCK hides every report from that surfer. We review every flag within 24 hours and remove the account behind abuse. You can also email supportwaveform@gmail.com with the username and the spot.

I want my report gone. Open the entry in your journal and tap SHARED, then UNSHARE. Deleting the entry, or your account, removes it too.

SAFETY

WaveForm is a forecast, not a lifeguard. Conditions change faster than any model. Check the water yourself before you paddle out, know your limits, and never rely on any app for life-safety decisions.
